About Us

Booking a stranger's tour in a country you don't know is an act of faith.

We built triploc to make that feel less like a leap.

Not more exciting. More certain.

What we do

We sell tours, activities and experiences in the Alps and across Europe — run by the people who actually run them.

The guide who leads the hike. The school that teaches the course. The family that has run the boat on that lake for thirty years.

We find them, we check them, we photograph what they do, and we sell it.

What makes us different, and what it costs

Three commitments. Each one has a price we pay for it, and we would rather name the price than pretend there isn't one.

We tell you the whole truth before you pay

The real price. The real cancellation terms. The real operator. Real photographs of the actual activity — never stock imagery, never a placeholder rating, never a "from" price for a date you cannot book.

What it costs us: our listings look emptier than a competitor's until we have been out and photographed them properly. We accept that.

The terms appear before the payment button, not after

Cancellation terms, currency, exclusions and who the experience is not suitable for — all of it above the button, not behind a link.

What it costs us: a measurable drop in conversion. We accept that too, deliberately, in exchange for far fewer people discovering something after they have paid.

Your contract is with us

This is the one most people don't notice, and it is the one that matters when something goes wrong.

Most platforms in this industry introduce you to an operator and take a fee. If the boat doesn't turn up, the platform's position is that your contract was with the operator.

We are not a booking agent. We sell every experience in our own name, as your tour operator. The local partner runs it for us, and we are answerable for how they do it. You never have to work out who to chase in a language you don't speak.

What it costs us: we carry the liability, the refunds and the insurance. That is the point.

How we choose partners

One test: you run the experience yourself.

We don't sign resellers, aggregators or agencies selling someone else's product. Our promise is that we have checked the operator in person, and it has to stay true.

Before a listing goes live, every partner shows us four things: who they are, that their business is registered, that they hold whatever licence or permit the activity requires, and that they carry public liability insurance appropriate to what they do.

Where a country runs a public register, we check it ourselves. Austrian guiding licences are verified against GISA. Swiss risk-activity permits are verified against the BASPO register. No listed Swiss risk activity goes live without a verified permit. No exceptions, no grace period.

How we treat the people who run your experience

A platform that squeezes its operators eventually delivers you a squeezed experience. So:

  • We pay weekly, in their own currency, with no minimum amount and no charge for speed.
  • We absorb the costs. Payment fees, transfer fees, chargebacks and card fraud are ours, and are never passed on to a partner.
  • The rate is published and fixed for 24 months. No renegotiation mid-season.
  • No exclusivity, no price parity. Partners sell wherever they like, at whatever price they like. We never penalise them for it.
  • Thirty days' written notice before we close a partner account, with the specific reason — other than in the narrow safety and compliance cases set out in our Partner Terms, where a lapsed permit or a credible risk to participants means we have to act the same day.
  • Reviews are never removed for being negative, and no operator can pay to have one taken down.

Who we are

triploc is operated by Alpii Europe GmbH, registered in Munich, part of a group founded in Bern, Switzerland.

We started triploc after one too many bookings where the page and the day did not match — a "sunrise hike" that left at nine, a guide who turned out to be a subcontractor of a subcontractor. The Alps first, because the operators here are small, expert and easy to verify in person, and because a mountain is the least forgiving place to discover a listing was optimistic.

Managing Directors: Winitiro Ramadhani, Michael Eheleben, Edho Amarendra Saptiono

We are a small team across Europe and Indonesia — fourteen people, working from Munich, Bern and Bali.

What we don't do

A short list is a followed list.

  • No free or tip-based tours. The price on the page is the whole truth, or it isn't on the page.
  • No experiences involving captive wild animals or animal performances.
  • No pure airport transfers or car hire with no experience attached.
  • No stock photography, anywhere, ever.
  • No paid placement in search results. The factors that order our search results are set out in our Digital Services Act information, and position is not for sale.
